Join sculptor Erin McGuiness for a weekend, hands-on workshop in coil-building, one of the oldest ceramic techniques, and a chance to explore creativity in a broader sense. You'll learn to shape clay into vessels while strengthening your creative voice through somatic and contemplative approaches to making. The qualities coiling asks of you, patience, rhythm, trust in your own hands, are the same qualities that support any creative practice. This is a day to build a vessel, and to build your relationship with your own creative flow.

Perfect for beginners and experienced makers alike, this class will cover:

- Fundamentals of coil-building

- Exploring form and texture

- Embodied techniques to connect hand, body, and clay

- Ways to nurture confidence and consistency in your creative practice

Level: All levels welcome

All supplies and materials provided. Bisque firing is included for pieces made in workshop. Glaze is not included; this workshop focuses on showcasing the natural form and texture of the clay.
